If you pop over to Italian Bicycles you’ll find they have a nice looking fixie for sale at around the $1,000 mark. This fella, the Pergusa:
The downward sloping top tube, lugs and celeste-like green lend the bike a distinctly other-worldy charm that many fixies are aiming for but never quite achieve. I can’t tell you whether the Pergusa is in fact the real deal because information on them is very scarce. They’re made of steel, have a lugged frame and may or may not be handmade in Italy. (Apart from the logo on the website there are no statements concerning how these bikes are made.)
The head office for these guys is in my neck of the woods I’ll endevour to find out more and see if I can relay some actually useful information for you (as opposed to my usual speculation and libelous nonesense).
