I’m feeling especially blessed at the moment, with anything up to seven bikes to choose from for any given ride. That’s because Can R dly Treadlies were kind enough to drop off not one but two State Bicycle Co bikes. Of course quantity can’t beat quality and with State Bicycle Co we have no caused for concern there.

The State Bicycle Co has been knocking out some great bikes (and great videos) for years now. This is the first time we’ve seen them in Oz. I’ve got a Core and a Contender in the garage (figuratively speaking; they’re actually in my office/workshop), the Core being the base model and the Contender being the flash one.

Okay, where was I? Oh yeah. The Core. I’ve been riding it all week. The Contender has a flat tyre that I’m sure to fix one day soon. The Core is a wonderful bike, just feels right and tight. I have to keep reminding myself that I have a better bike in the garage (read: office). The Contender’s role is to be ogled (lovely paint job and spec) and occasionally lifted (it’s marvelously light). I’m sure I’ll get a spare tube into it tomorrow and take it for a ride.
