You can <a href=\"http:\/\/surlybikes.com\/blog\/post\/an_old_friend_revisited\" target=\"_blank\">read Surly&#8217;s version here<\/a>.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">I&#8217;ve never owned a cyclocross bike but I imagine they&#8217;d make near &nbsp;perfect city bikes. Strip away the unnecessary&nbsp;gears and they&#8217;re even more perfecter. (Wow, my spellchecker doesn&#8217;t want to correct &#8220;perfecter&#8221;. On the other hand, the word &#8220;spellchecker&#8221; is an&nbsp;abhorrent&nbsp;conjugation it wants to purge.)<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">It got me thinking about other cyclocross frames that run single speed. There are some good ones.&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.velogear.com.au\/cycling\/bike-parts\/frames\/cyclocross-frames\/wazoo-crmo.html\" target=\"_blank\">Velogear has the Wazoo from Voodoo<\/a> available for under $600. I&#8217;ve probably pushed the whole cyclocross angle too far but you know we&#8217;re all meant to be cheesey moustache wielding hipsters and cyclocross is meant to be the next big thing for us.
